JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The Medieval Women’s Choir, one of the few choirs in the United States specializing in medieval music, seeks an Administrator/Operations Manager. This half time position works closely with the Artistic Director and the choir Board of Directors, which helps support many of the managerial tasks.
The Medieval Women’s Choir is a non-profit choir that specializes in medieval repertoire. It provides a friendly and supportive environment and is open to women singers at any level and age interested in studying and performing medieval music. The choir and Artistic Director perform four concerts per year and participate in community outreach. The choir has a dedicated audience and donor base.
Responsibilities include: bookkeeping and financial management, event ticketing and box office, concert and special event production, volunteer recruitment, donor relations, choir enrollment, vendor relationships, coordination of promotional materials, social media and email marketing, and maintaining the website. Required for the position is a BA degree, minimum two years relevant experience or professional training, excellent written and oral communication skills, basic graphic design skills, computer literacy including experience with QuickBooks, and other office applications. Managerial leadership, special interest in choral and/or early music, and experience in working with arts organizations are highly desirable.
Position works from home and hours are flexible and variable. Must be available occasional evenings for events and meetings.
Starting date: immediately after hiring.
Salary: $23,920.
